SKIN NEEDLING

Known by many names - micro-skin needling, Dermapenä, Dermaroller, Dry Needling or Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) - skin needling is ultimately a controlled, micro-injury to the skin, stimulating a natural healing response to encourage new collagen & elastin formation, therefore, improving skin quality, tone and texture.

  • What does it treat?
    Dull, tired looking skin Pigmentation Oily or Dry skin conditions Fine lines and wrinkles Acne prone skin Open pores Deep set wrinkles and skin elasticity (Deep peels only)
  • What results should I see?
    Results are achieved gradually over a period of weeks-months dependant on the condition being treated. We recommend a minimum of four or more sessions to achieve optimum results. Results are boosted with appropriate aftercare and skincare regime. This information is provided to you at your first session.
  • What will my skin be like after the treatment?
    Immediate skin response varies from skin to skin, overall you may feel Flushed, pink to deep pink through the skin Tight Dryness Skin flaking Warm to touch Similar to sunburn These are all normal responses and last anywhere between 24 – 72 hours. You may experience skin flaking beyond this period, which is a normal response to the Peel.
  • Is it safe?
    Every treatment has a degree of risk, however, Chemical Peels are a safe treatment. All risks and adverse reactions are discussed through your consultation and prior to any treatment being performed. You will be required to complete a detailed medical history and assessment of your needs to ensure this treatment will suit you and your lifestyle. Most clients have described Chemical Peels as slightly warm, itchy and tingling sensation, but not painful. It is quick treatment and rest-assured, you will be taken care of by your skin therapist.
  • What happens before, during and after treatment?"
    Best treats skin lacking life and showing signs of pre-mature, mature aging and skin requiring re-modelling such as pore size or scarring. You will undertake a thorough consultation and medical history prior to ensure you are a suitable candidate for the Chemical Peel and results can be achieved. Please ask as many questions as you like. Your treatment will be confirmed and explained in full by your skin therapist The treatment will commence taking 20 - 30 minutes depending on the area being treated and Peel being used. An Aftercare and Skincare regime prescription is provided after each session to ensure optimal results Sessions are scheduled between 1 – 4 weeks apart dependant on the condition being treated and skins response. Like any treatment, results are achieved over a series of treatments and maintained over a period of time The clinic is open to any post-treatment questions you may have in-between appointments
